Converter for lens

I have a question. My husband has a cannon t5i. And a tamaron lens. He has a lens converter but not for the cannon do you know what converter he needs and where to get it? (Lens tamron af ld 200-400mm)

Thanks i think with the posts above I understand the issue. He bought the tamaron to use with the Canon he hasn't uaed it. But seema is not for a still life canon ans us old technology. During the weekend with thw work week behind mw i may get more timw to research

I started the post knowing less than nothing about the camera and lens. I think i understand while tamron makes lenses for canon the current lens is for a minolta all have a different mount. There may be options to convert but they may be costly and not come withour issues. Stick with a lens made for canon. Thank you all so much for your patience and support while i stumbled through
