scanner lide 110 errors 5, 202, 52

hi

this is a new scanner just installed with win 7. 

it did work one time. then not:  errors 5, 202, 52.

now after reinstalling the driver and reseating the cable, the error code is 5, 155, 75.

Hi jakehues,

 

The 5,155,75 error is a generic communications error and unforutnately does not pinpoint the cause.  Please make sure that the USB cable that you are using is 6 feet long or shorter.  Also, please make sure that the USB cable is connected directly from the CanoScan LiDE 110 to your computer and is not connected to a USB hub or some other device.  Please disconnect all other USB devices connected to the computer and then attempt to scan.  Are you able to scan?

 

If not, please try temporarily disabling security software and then attempt to scan, as firewalls and anit virus have been known to cause these type of errors as well.
