Unable to quit MP Navigator Ex 5.0

I just installed it on my Mac, using Mojave OSX, and it works fine. But whenever I want to quit the app, nothing happens. I always have to force quit. Is there a fix for this?

It's a CanoScan 5600F and it's working fine with MP Navigator Ex 5.0. I can scan, save, etc. I just can't quit the application.
