Photo scanning on CanoScan 8600F

The scanner is no longer automatically opening the photo image when the scanning is complete. I have Windows 7. What should the External program be? A Twain issue? I have to go to Windows Explorer to see the pic. Any help much appreciated.

With the information provided, I recommend checking the settings within the software.


Open the settings button for [Photo-1]/[Photo-2] and confirm that a check mark is next to "Confirmation of the Scanned IMage and Exif Settings"


In the event that the check mark is sthere and the issue persist. I recommend reinstalling the driver and the software from the Canon website. Click HERE the drivers/software information.
