Fixed Image Garden on my PC. MIG would freeze while opening and would have to be stopped in Task Manager.
This is the goofiest fix I've ever found but it worked here on 2 Windows 10 PCs.
Do this:
Uninstall all the Canon software on your PC
Do a restart
Reinstall the printer package
Do a cold shutdown, then start PC
Try to open Image Garden, it may open now, if not
Open IJ Scan Utility,
Click Settings
Change the save location to a another folder
Scan a test Document, it should appear in the new folder
Set IJ scan back to defaults
Scan again, at this point MIG should open normally.
