CanoScan 9000F for High Sierra

Raymondgrandson

I have had a CanoScan 9000F scanner since 2012 and it still works perfectly on a 2009 MacBook Pro. That laptop is getting old.

I wanted to use it on my 2013 MacBook Pro 13 inch which is on High Sierra.

I saw that there are revised/updated drivers on the Canon website for High Siera for the 9000F.

I used the original CD Setup U 1.3 for the 9000F and then added the High Sierra drivers from Canon on my MacBook 2013 on High Sierra, but the CanoScan 9000F will will not work on my 2013 MacBook Pro.

Any suggestions?

Thank you for your help.

I suggest punting and getting VueScan. They have a free demo. With VuewScan, you will never have a problem with an OS again!

Thank you for your reply. I finally got the drivers to work, but that is a short-term fix as my High Sirra laptop is from 2013.

I will try VueScan.

As I get a new MacBook Air, I was thinking of getting the Epson Perfection V600, which is also supposed to do a great job in scanning 35mm slides.

Not sure why Cannon gave up on the 9000 series.
