Cannot communicate to scanner - Canon canoscan 5600f

Hi there, first post, I have bought a second-hand 5600f scanner, but I cannot scan as I receive the error, cannot communicate with the scanner, despite my Mac acknowledging it exists. I have also tried using Windows 10, and I still receive the same error using MP navigator. 

 

Any suggestions on what I should do?

If you are still having this issue, I recommend contacting our chat team.The real time support would be most beneficial in this case.
