The annual August Perseid meteor

In the Northern Hemisphere, the annual August Perseid meteor shower is probably the all-time favorite. This major shower takes place during Summer. No matter where you live in the USA you can see it. Best on a dark, moonless night, you can often see 50 or more meteors per hour. Moonlight will not obscure the Perseid meteors this year but clouds sure do. I think tomorrow morning is supposed to be the best viewing time. Look upward and get those cameras out and shooting, shooting stars!  Smiley Very Happy

Re: The annual August Perseid meteor

I am aimed South.  The 'metor' came from the North.  Later I saw several that appeared to be from more westerly.  Around 1:30 AM clouds started to prevent much further viewing which would have had a higher incidence.
