I'm shooting a infomercial for cosmetic supplies, fine detail close up stuff, I have a standard 18-55 mm lens, is there a specific one I should use? I shooting on a 70D

Depending on the angle of view you prefer, two lenses spring to mind...

1)  The EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM

2)  The EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM

Macro primes have finer detail resolving capability than a typical prime.  Also... "close up" is never a problem when using macro lenses.

Incidentally... if this is just for a one-time project, then you could always rent the lenses instead of buying.

Agree.  Smiley Happy

Go for the The EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM.  You'll love it and it can double for other stuff as well.  It is a great lens.
