Pros and cons of R5 shutter modes

Bazsl

Is there any published information describing the pros and cons of the three shutter modes on the R5? Based on the small amount of information in the manual I see no reason, other than noise suppression or a very fast frame rate, to use anything but mechanical mode. Yet, the default is electronic 1st curtain? Why? Searching Google has not revealed much more than the manual. Thanks for any references.

I ran accross this. Not sure if it's as in depth as you want, but there is a little pro/con table.

Just what I needed. You are a better researcher than I. 🙂

Happy to help! BTW, I have a Magic 8 Ball. You hold the question lightly in your mind, then shake the ball until a URL pops in the window Smiley LOL
