Parallel lines on my viewfinder

Hi,

I own a Canon 5d Mark iv. Recently I notice there are parallel lines on my view finder. They don't show up on the pictures.
anyone have ideas how to get rid of them?

thanks

Re: Parallel lines on my viewfinder

Sounds like you may have enabled the grid lines in the viewfinder.

Re: Parallel lines on my viewfinder

Thanks John for your reply. After several attempts it seems the issue has to do with cropping. I think I'm a little closer to solving this issue. Thanks again

Re: Parallel lines on my viewfinder

Reset the camera back to factory default.

EOS 1DX and 1D Mk IV and several lenses!

Re: Parallel lines on my viewfinder

Thank you! That's exactly what the problem was. I accidentally did something in the customs section. Thank you again for being so helpful.

Re: Parallel lines on my viewfinder

If you do a factory reset be sure to go into the menus and change the option that allows shutter to fire without a card.
