My 60D battery door comes off because the plastic seats in the body for the hinge pin broke off.

Canon replaced the metal case of the 40D, 50D with a plastic one in the 60D.  Sure enough the case on my 60D broke where the hinge pin for the battery door is seated.  Now the door comes off whenever I open it.  Eventuall I will have to tape the door on.  Can this be fixed?  A new case?  How much would Canon charge for this?

rsknorr99,

We are sorry to hear that the case on your EOS 60D broke where the battery door is situated.  We would like the opportunity to fix this issue for you at our Factory.  We cannot give you an estimate for this until the Factory performs a complete evaluation.  You arrange service for the EOS 60D through the web link below.
