Hello Everyone,

I have a canon 6d, everything is working great except when I record videos the microphone is not recording. I tried going back to factory settings. I tried the manual mode, and changing the volume but when I get to this step it does not register any sound its picking up. I'm not sure what else to do. Any help would be appericated!

Thanks! 79444463_974459769607781_4507086329066029056_n.jpg

Your camera may not be able to record audio when video capture is set for a high frame rate.  Try dropping to a lower frame rate and see if it will record audio.  My 1DX 2 has a note in the manual that audio will not be recorded when higher frame rate video capture is selected.

That is only for "slow motion" modes that play back at a lower frame rate. 60 fps should be fine.

I suggest you call Canon and let them walk you through.

Do you see anything on the audio meters?

When I go to recordiing volume it is not registering anything, I feel like every now and then I see two bars but goes no further. Semi annoyed b/c I hardly use it and I finally have a use for video and it's not working lol =(  I emailed tech support hopefully they have an idea.

Don't email, call! That way you can get an immediate answer.
