M 50 does not record video and does not taking photos while using lava Lens 12 mm. Works only with Canon’s lenses.

What exactly is it not doing, as this lens is fully manual with no electrical connections to the camera for focusing or aperture then I can't understand what your problem is.

 

There is one thing that should be set with your camera to use a manual lens, that is:

Menu> Yellow tabs> Cust Fn.> Release shutter with no lens.

Once set this will make no difference to using it with normal lenses.
