When I turn my M5 off the timer setting reverts to off. Is there any way to make the timer setting persistent as it is on the 5DsR, 6D and all other Canon cameras that I am aware of? Thanks.

Possibly it's one of the compromises made to lessen the M5's power consumption.

Hello Bazsl,
Based on your description we take this to mean that you want the EOS M5 boot into self timer mode each time you turn it on if that was the function last activated. Unfortunately, there are no other menu options that would enable the self timer the default mode for the camera start into.
