My camera is very well used and is now getting the diagonial line across every picture.  Help...

Definitely a detached shutter blade. Take the lens off look into the camera at the sensor and with the shutter set to B, press & hold the shutter button, you will see the blade laying across the sensor although it may not happen every time.

The shutter cannot be repaired it can only be replaced, I'm sorry to say but it won't be cheap.

Probably a bad shutter. It will need to be replaced.
