Focus in video mode with the canon 5d iii

Hi there,
Another canon 5d iii newbie here ;).
I have understood this camera does not continuously autofocus with video. Bummer. However, is there any other way to know Im in focus 100% when I shooting video? The thing is: on a sunny day, it's hard looking at the lcd monitor to determine whether Im in focus. The setting Im looking for is some sort of grid line in the lcd monitor over the focused object. Considering Ive already done quite some empty searching on this 'setting', Im guessing it doen't exist :(. Any other tips on how to stay in focus while using video without having to master perfect focus pulling (<- a craft in itself) ? Any help is much appreciated!
Kind regards,
Lucy
