You can't.  The M3 doesn't have a conventional shutter.  Because mirrorless cameras do not have that mechanical mirror/shutter mechanism, the light that comes in through the lens goes straight to the sensor.

EOS 1DX and 1D Mk IV and less lenses then before!

From Canon's webpage:(www.canon.co.uk/cameras/eos-m3/specifications/)

Canon EOS M3 Specifications:

Shutter
Type

Hybrid Single Blade Shutter (Electronic first curtain and mechanical second curtain shutter)

Speed

30-1/4000 sec (1/3 stop increments), Bulb (Total shutter speed range. Available range varies by shooting mode)

My M5 has a mechanical shutter and I have found spare shutters for M3 and M2 at Ebay. Seems like also M3 has a mechanical shutter.

And it seems possible to check the shutter count on the M3, but I haven't tried the software.

Canon hasn't confirmed accuracy but I have. ML and 7D/6D showed the same as Canon Japan showed.
