EOS webcam utility: Live-streaming on Twitch

Does anyone use a Canon DSLR for live streaming? Canon recently released the EOS Webcam Utility Beta which now allows you to live stream using specific models without a capture card. I’ve downloaded it and tested it using the M50. Works well in OBS (changed the settings to 1920x1080 at 25fps). Even works in discord using a third party software - OBS virtualcam. However, on the platform, Twitch, in the game called Twitch Sings, the EOS Webcam Utility is listed in the camera drop down menu but I get no picture/video. Any solutions?

So I just finished a LIVE CHAT with a Canon specialist who said:

Yes. The Canon web cam utility allows the computer to register as a webcam. You then would need a third party live stream platform to use.

That is incorrect.  The Webcam Utility Beta was never intended for Live Streaming.. It was meant for video conferencing applications.  This was clearly spelled out on the download page.

Some live streaming apps might see a Canon camera device that appears as if it can be selected.  You had a happy accident with your M50 and OBS.
