EOS M overexposure in part of photo

Hi,

Our EOS M recently started to have a blade shaped overexposure in every photo. What can cause this - is it a lens or a shutter fault in the camera? Is there any way to fix this by myself or will I need to send the camera to manufacturer (and probably cost of repair to exceed the camera value now Smiley Sad)

Almost certainly a shutter fault, as you guessed probably an expensive repair so may be the time to start looking at new cameras.Smiley Sad

I had a slight hope that maybe it will be the lens and can just be replaced 😞
