EOS 70D question

Hello forum,

Today I was taking picture with my 70D. I don't know what I did or pressed, suddenly the focus point became larger. I remember it says something like SEL next to the square or rectangular shape thing. When I pressed the shutter, the result came out really cool. Everything inside of the square or box is the focus, rest the picture is either blur or out of focus.

Can someone tell how to do it again?

Thanks

Hello onesip,

That is the AF point selection.  It sounds like you changed the AF point which made everything in focus and then the background would be out of focus.  Most likely this would have been combined with a larger aperture to decrease the depth of field.

Honestly not sure what I did.

Step 1 press the button (6) is that mean 6 seconds?

No, it means once you have pressed the button the operation remains active for 6 seconds before it turns itself off.
