I just purchased EOS 6D with EFS 18-200 lenses.   When I take a picture it only shows top third and a circle image.jpeg

That's a FULL FRAME camera & you're using a lens designed for a 1.6 crop body. Not compatible & STOP before you damage the mirror. The Mirror is hitting the back of the EF -S lens.

DO NOT TAKE ANY MORE PHOTOS WITH THAT EF-S lens mounted on the body.

Just curious, did someone sell you the lens with your 6D? How did you mount the lens on the body? The only reason I'm asking, it sounds like someone might have modified the lens since you cannot mount an EF-S lens on a FF body.

Somebody just asked about Sigma 10-20mm on 1DX now a 18-200 on a 6D. The lens is not designed for full frame and like 7D5M stated, the lens must be modified in someway. But if I'm not mistaken, lately EF-S lens doesn't have long back to hit the mirror anymore (maybe I've heard it wrong).
