Hi,
I will soon start to shoot 4K video (5DIV).
I know from the camera´s manual the minimum specifications for CF and SD cards to record 4K.
(UDMA 7/100MB/s or UHS-1/Class 3)
Any opinions about CF/SD brands and models with good results from this community? Brands to avoid?
In the past 7 years I´ve been using Sandisk, Lexar and Toshiba, but with moderate speeds. Not fast enough for 4K demands.
Some of my cards are 7 years old. Never had a problem.
Never try 4K video .-) My 5DIV is brand new (1 month).
Thank you very much for your help.

"to shoot 4K video, then you want at least 128GB, which will give you just over 30 minutes of recording time."
Lets pretend that I will shoot a 29" minutes video piece.
With a 128Gb card I will have several small files for those 29" minutes?
With a 256 GB card I will have a unique files for those same 29" minutes?
Is there any real (dis)advantage for editing purposes, between a unique files and several files?
Or it is the same, when editing?
Thanks

There is no good way to answer that question. It really depends upon the nature of the edit, and editing software itself.
As a general rule, computers process larger chunks of data than smaller chunks. But, there are exceptions to that, too.

Da Vinci Resolve.
Is it harder to manage 4 smaller files or 1 big file?
Do i need to perform any kind of transcode in any case (1 file vs 4 smaller files)?

Da Vinci Resolve is not a product that I am familiar with. I suggest that you simply exercise common sense, or just simply try it.
