It's the end of the line. Don't pour money into an unsupported, outdated camera. Put it into something state-of-the-art. If I were doing indoor PR or event work, I would be looking at a well-reviewed mirrorless, preferably with IBIS and great low-light capabilities, which means you won't be going with Canon.
