Hi,
My business bought a large number of these cameras recently. They were sold to us as fully refurbished but most of them have the "Busy" problem. I believe that installing the Canon service firmware ( EOS1000D_RXS106SC.FIR) will fix the problem. Do any of you know where I can get hold of a copy of such firmware?
Many thanks.

I believe you should get a refund. The 1000D was introduced a decade ago, and has not been serviced by Canon for a few years due to lack of parts availability that are/were made by other manufacturers.
In other words, I think that it is highly unlikely that the cameras were refurbished by Canon, if at all. You have been sold cameras that are mostly unserviceable. If they are inoperative, then they will most likely stay that way.
BTW, Canon firmware downloads are available on the Canon Support web site. I think your best move is to get a refund.
