Battery compartment lever broke? (6D)

keep
Apprentice

Hey,

I wish I knew the name for this part but I'll try to describe it best I can.

On both my 70D and 6D, if you flip the camera upside down to expose the battery compartment (lens facing your torso), and open the battery compartment, there's a tiny little "lever" in the top right corner.

My 6D wasn't turning on, so after some messing around it turns out that tiny little lever isn't functioning. I suppose the battery compartment door is supposed to press it when closed, which makes the red light blink and camera will be powered. Even if the battery is in, if that level isn't pressed, the camera won't turn on.

If I press close my compartment door, the 6D won't power on, but if I leave it open and press that little lever with a pen, my 6D powers on. It seems to be stuck to one side, instead of centered as it is on my 70D.

Anybody have any idea about a quick fix, or what that part would be called so I can look into repair?
