70D Electronic Level Going Haywire

The Electronic Level on my 70D is going crazy! It's jumping all over the place. Any idea why, or how to fix this?

Sounds like the level sensor is bad. You probably need to send it in for service.

Are you using any 3rd party electronic accessories like a flash that might be impacting its electronics?

Does it work in Portrait orientation?

No third party accessories. Just the camera and lens. It doesn't seem to find a level in any orienation. I don't mind turning it off and simply using grid or an external spirit level, but it falsely orients my pictures into portrait or landscape which can be cumbersome to fix after a number of shots.

Facing the exact dance issue with my 70D, did you fix yours in the meantime?
