6D Video Focusing

Just got a 6D. When focusing during shooting video, I push the AF-ON button and it does focus. But it also is very annoying because it also METERS when I push that and the picture goes dark for a moment when I do that. It records that onto the video too! I went in to the settings and tried to re assign that button to only focus and there is no choice for that.

Help please...

Re: 6D Video Focusing

My son is the videographer, and he tells me that the 6D is not designed for AF when recording video.  For that reason, I have purchased a set of fully manual, "cinema prime" lenses....for him, not me.  KIDS!
