5D III can't change ISO to 100

i am using a 1 year old 5D III. i never really thought about it, but i assumed i could not shoot a lower ISO than 200.

but looking at exif data in other photograhers' photosi see ISO of 100.

i thought cool. because that is what i used mostly on the 7D.

but i couldn't change the ISO lower than 200. moving the dial the ISO goes from 200 to A.

so i got out the manual. i know a clever idea. followed the directions on ISO settings. and still, no joy. looked online. same directions. same results. i was desparate so had a nikon friend take a look. same results. nothing lower than 200.

i am assuming i am missing a step somewhere.

i shoot RAW without jpg.

If you have High Tone  Priority turn on, you cannot use ISO100. If you shoot RAW, then High Tone Priority is pretty useless, may as well turn it off.

LOL! such a simple thing. i noticed in the little screen the little D+ but didn't know what it meant. so when going through my settings a couple of weeks ago, high tone priority sounded like a good thing, right?

DUH!

thanks so much, really do appreciate the quick reply. 🙂
