I'm wondering if anyone is having the following problem.
I'm having a pause problem with both my 5D III and 7D cameras. I’m shooting raw on a Lexar Pro 1066x card in Al Servo High Speed mode. When I'm shooting a sport like soccer, basketball or football I’m getting a short pause sometimes after 4, 5 or 6 shoots. The pause lasts about as long as it takes to shoot one picture. I’m using the 61-point auto select on the 5D III and similar setting on the 7D. I’ve called Canon but this was the first they’ve heard of the problem.
Is there anyone who has an idea what’s going on?
Thanks,
Paul

Is it full buffer clearing?

Are using continuous shooting mode, or single shot?
How many seconds does it take when it pauses?

As for as I can tell the buffer is emptying.
I'm shooting continuous. The pause happens somewhere around the 4 - 6 shoots. But the pause doesn't happen every time. And I'm positive the buffer isn't close to the maximun shots.
Thanks,
Paul

do you have both cards installed? If so, from what I understand the SD card will be controlling the data flow.

Just the CF card.
