rebel d1000. 55/85mm zoom lens.washed out color

no manual or software.all functions are fine but very dissapionted with color rendition After exhausting exposure,format,white balance fine tunning,color space,picture styles,lighting,tripod, small f stops and gray card tests i'm out of ideas.i cannot produce color at the camera as seen by the naked eye.no problem with old clunker sLr'-64- asa ectachrome.WHY?

Reset your camera to factory defaults.  You set something wrong.

1.). Are you shooting RAW or JPG? Raw is great but looks dull straight OOC, and so it requires you to juice it up in post processing.
2.). Are you doing the grey/white card properly? Take a sample of the white card in your subject's hands for a baseline, then use that as the custom WB either in camera or in post?
