Using VariZoom Switch on Canon Rebel T6i 750D DSLR

Hello, i am new to photography/videography.  I just purchased a used Rebel T6i 750d camera and has the 18mm-55mm lens. I am going to start recording/ documenting my outdoor adventures. (mainly hunting and fishing.)  Can i add a VariZoom LANC Zoom Control Switch to this camera to use while recording? The info i am finding keeps refering to LANC cameras. I am not sure if mine is LANC.  The link to the switch is bleow.  Thanks for the help.

I don't think so. I think it only worked with the 18-135mm lens of more recent vintage. I also think it was a marketing failure and has disappeared down the memory hole.

LANC stands for Local Application Control Bus System. LANC control is used for video equipment and connected peripherals.

Your T6i is not a dedicated video camera so the LANC controller will not work.
