I have been looking in the camera manual for quite sometime, it seems that the camera won't focus automatically when I don't press the shutter button. I want the camera to focus automatically at all times so I can vlog more easily.I am wondering if this is a software problem or is it just that the camera itself doesn't have this function. Does anybody knows which one is it?

This is by design. (to a certain extent) Have you looked at live view? See page 148 > of your manual. Keep in mind tracking will not be 100% precise. This body only has 9 AF points.

yup, it seems that it is indeed a design problem. There is no such option to choose
