Rebel T6 - Shooting with the LCD Monitor - Issues

When I am using the LCD to take pictures the screen turns on and there is only half a screen.  The top part is fine the bottom screen is black.  If i switch off it and take manual pictures and then switch back the full screen shows up but it takes a picture of only the top half and the bottom is black.  I am wondering if i have a faulty camera or if there is an easy fix.

Hate to say it, but it sounds like you may have a faulty image sensor.  Does the bottom of the screen "black out" when you look at the camera menus?  I suggest that you contact Canon Support at the links at the bottom fo the forum pages.

That's what I was afraid of. And no the menu screens are fine I can see everything on them.

How about the pictures when viewed on the computer?

I always trashed the photo after seeing that it was only half on the screen.
