Question about the info on the live shooting display T6i

[ Edited ]

I am trying to start a twitch stream, i am using an elgato cam link to help me turn my t6i into a web cam. Basically what it does is it mirrors the live view and puts it on my streaming software, how do i disable all of the settings on this screen so its just blank, and shows myself. Also if i plug my usb cable into my camera, will it power the camera? Thanks! Smiley Happy

Sorry, you are stuck with it. DSLR's are not designed to be webcams.

And the USB cable does *Not* power the camera. The camera requires in excess of 7 V which the USB cannot supply. You can't even charge the batteries from USB.

"DSLR's are not designed to be webcams."

They are not even true video cameras. They have certain restrictions purposely installed to limit their video ability.

EOS 1DX and 1D Mk IV and several lenses!
