My Macbook Pro will not recognize my Canon Rebel T3i when I plug it in. Please help!

I've installed the necessary software from Canon, but no luck. Any suggestions?

Yes I’ve tried with both the usb let’s me connect to image capture but that’s about it I can’t import anything and can’t connect to eos utility 3 always says failed to communicate with camera check connections

If you are connected to Image Capture you should be able to import images. I do that all the time. I don’t use EOSU.

There may be some permissions you have to enable to use EOSU.

@kvbarkley I am not sure what you are asking me to do. I noticed that although I could not see my camera in the USB section it is showing up when I go into the iPhoto window, but I can’t see any pictures that are stored on the camera.

I am telling you to go into applications and run the program that actually talks to the camera: Image Capture. Sometimes it is misconfigured.

If your Wifi is enabled, it will not work. You have to disable your wifi. I just figured this out now.
