Can I use my Canon Utilities CameraWindow (that cam with my Powershot SX230HS) to load images from my Rebel Xti to a  Windows 7(64 bit) personal computer?

I will 'guess' if the software recognizes your XTi it will do it. If it doesn't it won't. But if not your Win 7 will recognize the XTi directly plugged into the USB port no software needed.

Hi EllenPayson,

If you don't have updated software for your EOS Rebel XTi, you may transfer your images with the Canon Camera Window using a card reader.  With the card in a card reader and connected to your computer via a USB cable, open ZoomBrowser EX.  Click on "Acquire & Camera Settings", then choose "Acquire Images from Memory Card".

You may also transfer images using the Windows Photo Gallery Program.  If you haven't already done so, you may retrieve and install this from Microsoft's download.live.com.

I hope this is helpful for you,

Richard
