How do I stop the constant auto refocusing noise on my Rebel T4i while recording video?

It is happening on every video that I record, this constant auto refocus noise and i am a beginner with the Canon.

Disable conyinous focus in the menu. Or shoot in manual focus.

I am going to check the menu and see if this is the problem, Thank you.

Is it refocusing noise or IS noise? You can try turning IS off, too.

I think it is refocusing noise, it just literally sounds like it is constantly focusing. How do I turn off IS function?

 

 

I tried it in manual and I still hear that noise?

Try STM lenses.

Or the new nano-USM, which came out a month after I bought my STM. 8^(

If it is an IS lens there will be an On/Off switch on the lens barrel.

There is also an AF/MF switch on the lens to stop auto focus.
