Having problems with Win7 64b

I can see the Rebel XT camera in Windows Explorer. and can upload images from the CF card.

I cannot delete folders from WindowsExplorer. Individualimageswilldelete. I recall that this used to work with Win XP

 

Canon Zoombrowser doesn't see the camera at all.

 

Have played with the PTP or PC Connection setting. Neither gets me full functionality.

 

I just checked and I still have the 1.0.1 firmware. Could this be a factor?

 

What is the newest firmware? I see a v1.0.3 on several websites. Nothing on the Canon

software and support page.

 

Can you get full functionality with Win7 x 64 ??

Win 7 pro 64 bit works fine for me.T3i and whatever software that came with it.

I think it's just this older camera. I reached the factory support number and they suggest a USB card reader

as the solution. I was very impressed with how quickly I got through to a real person through the automated 

phone system.
