Continuous Video Recording

If I am continually recording a movie that goes longer than 29 minutes, will the T5i automatically start a new file, or will it just stop recording at 29 minutes (or 4GB)? I want to be able to record longer videos without having to stop and hit the Record button again.  Let's just assume it's not overheating, and I have a freaking awesome storage card. If not the T5i, is there a camera that does this or is it just something I dreamed up...

It's a legal restriction.

thanks john, I am aware of the nature of the restriction. My question is specific to whether the camera software will allow continuous recording by automatically starting new files every 4GB (or 29 minutes).

thanks,

David

No.  Not without a hack anyway (Magic Lantern?).  Or possibly a workaround (I've heard of people using the HDMI out to record to an external drive).

thanks skirball. I'll look into it further and post back here any hacks that work for me!
