Connection problem

Hey, I successfully connect my canon to my iPad but when I select the camera from my iPad it says. Unable to connect as the camera isn't aupported. What does this mean and can anyone help here. Just want to transfer images.

No problem, I have a canon EOS 1500D.

How are you connecting it, USB or wifi? If USB, turn wifi off on the camera.

They are connecting together via WiFi, I have previously connected the camera to my phone, but for a strange reason that also doesn't work now either with the same problem
