I need to know how to view the images while I am taking them, the image comes up just after shooting it
but if flashes off the screen too quickly and I like to see images before and after as well.
Should be a no brainer, but for some reason I have not been able to figure it out and have no book with me...
thanks,
Kate

The play button. Right of the screen, lower left.

If the image goes away too soon, you can press the blue "playback" button (this is a blue triangle icon pointing to the right) which is located on the back of your camera in the lower right corner.
You can also change the "Image review" time. See page 154 of the "full" instruction manual (not the "Basic Instruction Manual" which is an abbreviated set of instructions.) You can find the full manual at Canon's site here: http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0/0300004730/02/eosrt3-eos1100d-im2-c-en.pdf
