Sure. The 1000d, like all Rebels, takes any EF or EF-s mount lens. That includes all current (last 20+ years) canon DSLR lenses, and also lenses made for the Canon EF or EF-s mount by 3rd parties like Rokinon, Bower and Samyang (which are all 3 the same company) who make all manual focus (non-autofocus) lenses. Be sure if you get one that it is the made-for-Canon version, not the version for Nikon, Sony, etc...

I was assuming you were looking for inexpensive ones. If you wanted to pay thousands you could get a Zeiss lens, as they are all manual focus too.

Of course any autofocus lens can also be used in manual focus mode by turning the AF off. That way you have the choice.

What focal length prime are you looking for? 24? 35? 50? 85? 135? Etc?

Canon 5d mk 4, Canon 6D, EF 70-200mm L f/2.8 IS mk2; EF 16-35 f/2.8 L mk. III; Sigma 35mm f/1.4 "Art" EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro; EF 85mm f/1.8; EF 1.4x extender mk. 3; EF 24-105 f/4 L; EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS; 3x Phottix Mitros+ speedlites

Why do so many people say "FER-tographer"? Do they take "fertographs"?

Why do you want a manual focus lens? Are you trying to save money?

Any Nikon or Pentax film era manual focus lens can be used on any Canon EOS camera if you use a simple adapter that can cost as little as $10.

Every manual focus lens has to have a focus ring.  What do you mean by "Without front focus ring"?

I think he means "not a lens whose front end rotates during focussing".
