Since I heard that Canon is discontinuing production of the DSLRs, people are starting to trade in their cameras to buy mirrorless cameras....... I was considering buying a 1Dx or a 1Dx Mark II.......... will Canon still service the 1Dx or the 1DxMarkII? Someone mentioned that the 1Dx service will be discontinued by end of Dec, 2022! I don't want the expense or the converter for my EF lenses if I buy a mirrorless camera. So, I'm considering to buy a 1Dx but don't know if service will be discontinued by end of this year! Should I buy the 1Dx Mark II ...... will that model still be continued for service? or will ALL THE 1DX MODELS be discontinued for servicing by end of year?

I hope not. Went to B&H and the cheapest one I saw was $699 and up to sky high. Anyone have any more info on this question?

First of all, Canon has not announced "discontinuing production of DSLRs". All they have said is that the 1DX Mark III will be the last of the long running 1D-series DSLRs, that they will not be developing a DSLR replacement for that one model. They haven't even said they are discontinuing production of the 1DXIII... Only that at some point in the future it will be discontinued and when that happens it won't be replaced by another DSLR, so.users should plan to replace with an R-series mirrorless camera such as the R3 (which is superior to the 1DXIII in a number of ways, yet the R3 costs less).
Canon has explicitly stated that they will continue to produce other DSLR models and not said one way or another if there will be new models to replace them. There was a mis-interpretation or mistaken translation of an interview of a Canon executive that several sources jumped to conclusions about. Canon came out and clarified that they planned to continue to provide various DSLRs indefinitely, as they continue to be popular in many markets. Here in the US there are six or seven Canon DSLR models to choose among... full frame and APS-C that are still in production.
Since the cameras are still in production they are still repairable. You asked about the 1DX Mark II, in particular and I don't know. That model was superseded by the Mark III two years ago. Usually replacement parts and service is still available for several years after a camera has been discontinued... but it depends upon parts supplies and there has been a worldwide shortage of some electronic components that may have some effect. You should call or email Canon themselves for any further clarification.

I don't know offhand, but companies selling electronic equipment will label that equipement with words such as "legacy" or "obsolete" after so many years. I'd call up Canon and ask what the timeframe is in order for a particular model to enter such a category.
I would wager a guess that it won't be "soon".

Companies are tending to reduce legacy support for equipment so to some extent the aftermarket repair will take over. And Canon is clearly not an angel in this area having discontinued several of their highest quality EF lens offerings while still selling DSLR bodies.
I will give the R1 a close look when it comes out, the R3 is not going to do it for sports photographers who have been using 1 series gear. Right now, if I moved away from the 1DX III it wouldn't be to anything in the Canon family. I hope that changes by the time I feel the need to upgrade, not downgrade.

"First of all, Canon has not announced "discontinuing production of DSLRs"."
Don't kid yourself or anybody else. The DSLR from Canon is done. There will be no new EF lenses either. However, to the OP, if I wanted a new or used 1 series, 1DX, Mk II or Mk III, I would buy it without hesitation. Even if Canon stops service there are many repair shops out there that will service them for many years to come. Replacement parts are the key. But, you can still get a F1n repaired!

Hell, I shoot with my father's FT QL and I still get that repaired and maintained at my awesome local camera store without issue!

I would guess, from experience, the lesser models will be the first that will become "unserviceable".
