<chuckle!> Reminds me of what happened when I bought my second 7D. After I'd had it a month or so, I realized that there was a good deal of dirt lodged somewhere in the viewfinder - enough to be distracting when looking through the eyepiece. Since I was about to drive to Philadelphia to visit my daughter, I dropped the camera off at Canon's Jamesburg NJ shop. The counter man at Jamesburg asked me why I didn't just send it back to B&H and demand a new one. My answer was that I'd already gone to the trouble of doing the AFMA calibration for all my lenses and I didn't want to have to do it again. But I guess the real benefit was that the camera came back in absolutely mint condition, better than new. Any replacement might have had something else wrong with it, but I knew that this one had been gone over as thoroughly as it was possible to do.
