Warranty/registration help: Camera was given to me as a gift

Gamingboy

Hello,

Awhile back, I was given a very nice Rebel T7 as a gift. Sadly, I hadn't had a chance to use it until now. When I try to register it, it won't let me as I don't know the date it was bought (because it was gotten as a gift) or location it was bought from. Was wondering if there is anything that can be done to ensure that I have it properly registered.

Thank you.

Thanks for joining the conversation, Gamingboy!  If you got the camera as a gift and you don't know its exact purchase date, just put down the date on which you received it as a gift and that'll do.  If a purchase location is required, just put down your best guess.

Hope that helps!

@Gamingboy,

Welcome.  Registration does not require proof of purchase.  As a benefit, the camera comes with a 1 yr warranty.

If you need service during this period, then proof of purchase would be required.
