Trying to download pix from my DS6041 onto Windows 7 64 bit. Can't find driver to do this. Help!!

Thanks for posting.

 

There are no Windows 7 drivers available for the EOS Digital Rebel (DS6041).  I recommend that you use a card reader to transfer the images directly from the card to the computer.

 

Alternatively, you can try changing the communication mode in the camera and using the built-in Windows software to download from the camera. To do this:

 

  1. Turn the <MODE DIAL> to (P)Program AE.
  2. Press the <MENU> button.
  3. Select [Communication].
  4. Select [PTP].
  5. Press the <MENU> button.
  6. Power the camera off.
  7. Connect the camera to the computer and power it on.

This connection mode will only allow you to use the built-in Windows software at best, but we cannot guarantee it will be successful.

Hi Mike: Thanks for the suggestion. I was afraid that was the case, but thought Canon might have a driver for this function. Will purchase card reader for this card.  Jerry Sloan
