Shutter speed on Canon 4000d seems to be slow in auto mode and don’t know how to fix it

Hi everyone.. Happy new year to you. I have a canon 4000d camera and it has taken good photos on the auto modes until recently. It's now not focusing and the shutter speed has slowed (or lags) causing even still photos to be blurry which includes the sports mode.. the sports mode is blurry during movements. I haven't changed any settings, so I can't imagine what happened. I checked with Camera repair places in Durban (South Africa), and they are charging ridiculous amounts in excess of R500, just to have a look at it (this excludes trying to fix it). YouTube doesn't seem to have a solution either. I need to use my camera by early next week, so if you can provide me with a solution urgently, or recommend a good (reasonably priced) camera repair place in Durban (South Africa), that would be appreciated... thank you!

Vijay2025,

In the short term, until you can have someone look at it, have you tried the P (Program Mode)?

I don't know what kind of sports, you are trying to photograph, but you could also try the TV, or shutter priority Mode and set your shutter speed at 1/800 or 1/1000.

Does same problem still occur?

1. did self-timer mode get set inadvertently?

2. reset all camera settings back to factory:
