I have had my EOS R5 for over six years now and everything is still very complicated. When I turn it on it will no longer take photos. There are some things flashing that I do not know what they mean and have tried for hours to get it to work. I have even tried completely resetting everything back to the original way but that does not work. What is shown now is a flashing little red image of the camera also with 1/25 below it. Can anyone help me get this camera working again?

Hi coolerator,
Going by the description of the icons you are seeing it sounds like the touch shutter may be enabled. If the 1/25 you are seeing is in the bottom left of the LCD that is the shutter speed. The camera icon directly above it is to show if the touch shutter is enabled.
When touch shutter is enabled the camera is expecting you to touch the rear LCD to take a photo. To disable that touch the camera icon near the bottom left of the screen. When touch shutter is disabled the camera icon in the bottom left of the screen will say Off on it. When you see that you can use the shutter button on the camera to take a photo.
