Help please! I have a r5 and the image quality is set to raw, color space srgb, but the photos look and edit like jpeg images. I have checked, and they are in fact raw images after import. When I proceed to edit, they’re very saturated and contrasty with no give with the sliders, tools, etc, much like how JPEGs edit. Is there a camera setting that would make raw images look and edit like this that I’m missing? I did just update the firmware, would this make images act funky?
I’ve also tried the preferences and changing the raw default to both Adobe Default and Camera settings, neither made a difference, which makes me believe it’s somewhere in my camera settings, but I’ve watch numerous settings videos for the r5 and nothing seems out of place, but I could be wrong:/
Also my Lightroom is updated as well.
any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated.

If you haven't already, try editing with Canon's DPP4 software and see if things act differently. Also try saving some RAW files in the Adobe RGB color space and see how they respond to editing.

Reset the camera to factory settings. See if that changes the behavior.
